During my limited time using a sword in Pve...I found Auspicious Parry to be effective, you charge in, AP>adrenskills>gg. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Quivering or Dragon Slash..I would use something like..

Sprint
flurry
Sever
Gash
Galrath
Quivering Blade/Dragon Slash
Healing Sig
Res Sig

Just something off the top of my head. I mainly prefer axe for its AoE hawtness.

Basic PvE for Prophecies:
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Final Thrust
Healing Signet
Endure Pain
Watch Yourself!
Rebirth

I like that build for Prophecies, but for Factions or both.. I'm not sure because I'm mainly an axe user..

with swords, can never go wrong with the sever/gash combo with a final thrust in there. for axe penetrating and executioner's strike on a dismembered foe is always good. dolyak signet is what I almost always bring along, it's so handy.

Take Dragon Slash. Quivering Blade is nice primarily because you get it early (it's the first sword elite you have access to) and it provides decent damage. Unless you're planning to make use of the daze condition with Plague Touch, Quivering is inferior to Dragon Slash overall.

severe artery
gash
galrath's slash
silverwing slash
bonetti's
healing hands
healing breeze
vig spirit

a stay alive build with killing potential.
may not be the most damaging build but you can solo the falls with it and make good money.

silverwing and vig spirit are optional. I just don't like losing all my adren with final thrust. It's a very basic reliable solo or team build. *wait's for someone to say somethin about being a noob wammo* lol

If I'm in a party with two monks, I tend to play a mixed style, to save monks energy. I would run:

Healing Signet
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Healing Hands {E}
Final Thrust
Galrath Slash
Gash
Sever Artery

Sometimes if i want to go offensive quickly, I take Jaihenzu Strike and Pure Strike (Both do the same) and it deals effective damage.

Healing Hands is for solo builds only. Otherwise, take Dragon Slash and actually do something useful. Without any IAS skill you won't build adrenalin quickly enough to matter. Without interrupts you get to stand there and watch as Throw Dirt, Chain Lightning, and other sorts of slow-casting nasty shit goes off while you are completely incapable of doing anything about it. I also like the builds that don't include res sig. It's almost as if you were trying to piss people off.

Charge/sprint
Flurry
Sever
Gash
Galrath/Standing/Dragon
Watch yourself
Heal Sig
Res Sig

Sometimes gets restricted due to no bleeding then I'd run For great justice, sun and moon and dragon for a high DPS build.
